There was a time, if we use XPath tool then we were having fear that we will loose XPath writing skill.

For the above reason, most of us suggest that we should not use XPath tools and we were using Browser(Chrome) DevTools to write and verify XPath.

And here is the result of using DevTools over the time.

I did multiple polls on XPath and more than 80% people have given the wrong answer because that’s what we have learnt from DevTools.

Browser DevTools gives the wrong XPath syntax for SVG, for shadow DOM elements and much more. Please checkout below video to see what all misconceptions we have learnt using DevTools till date.

To solve all these problems, I have invented a new tool SelectorsHub which helps to learn everything about XPath, selectors and DOM.

Just by opening the SelectorsHub tab, you will get all the information about the element and its possible valid selectors.

What is the correct syntax for SVG elements XPath?
Which selectors can work for shadow dom elements?

SelectorsHub is the very first and unique innovation which made it possible to verify selectors for shadow dom elements.

It gives the proper error message for invalid xpath and selectors which helps a lot in learning and a lot more.

SelectorsHub is absolutely FREE tool and no license required to use it.

Huge thanks to all the SelectorsHub’s sponsors TestProject Agile Testing Alliance, Patron, Donars & Community for supporting.

My humble request to you to share SelectorsHub with your team, in your network and help them to learn right things.

Please explore SelectorsHub & checkout this video to learn more about locators, DOM and SelectorsHub.
