Just sharing my experience and the mistakes I did so you might get some help from my experience and do better in career.

  1. Asking others for job is fine but not the best way to get a good job. This way you might get a job but that will not be the best for you.
  2. There are very rare chance (<1%) when you ask someone for a job and they will have a job for your profile.
  3. Don’t waste time in requesting everyone blindly for a job because this way you are wasting your time and other’s as well. In most of the cases either you will not get the reply or “Sure, I will get back to you” this you will get.

Then What should we do to get a good job??

  • First checkout the companies career page and check if there is any opening for you. Now if you find any job opening there for you then search for the people of that company and then request for the referral for that particular job.
  • Mention this in your profile “Open for better opportunity”
  • Make your own profile better and better.
  • Write blogs, articles and post on what you have done.
  • If any small project you have done, write about that in social media like LinkedIN, Twitter, Medium and Facebook tech groups etc.
  • Write the tech blogs/article on the forum related to your field and make your presence there so that people get to know about you and your profile and then they will connect to you if they will have job for your profile.
  • Give answers for the questions of your domain which people are asking in different forums like stackoverflow, linkedin groups etc.
  • Attend meetups and conferences, make good connections. Meet-ups and conferences are one of the best medium to meet the industry experts and learn from them. It also help a lot to get good job. Many companies just host the meet-ups or attend the meet-ups to find the good talent.
  • There are equal number of people who are looking for the talent at same time but they are also struggling and not finding the right talent.
  • If you need any help in this, feel free to DM me anytime. I will be more than happy to help you.

I might be wrong at some point but this is what I learnt from my experience and from many other’s.

Don’t search for the job, let the job search for you!!
